On December 6, Janice Mrkonjic announced at the Holiday Brunch that she was stepping down as CanSouth President because she is leaving North Carolina. Caroline Rocheleau, chair of the Canada Cultural Booth, has become the new President.
The previously vacant position of Vice President has been filled by Gary O’Neill, co-chair of the Canada Cultural Booth.
Farewell to Janice and her husband Greg. Congratulations to Caroline and Gary. Thank you to the rest of the Leadership Team volunteers for staying on to bring a wonderful selection of activities to Canadians across The Triangle.
In collaboration with the Carolina Hurricanes, CanSouth is proud to offer its members super deals for discounted hockey tickets.

CanSouth is celebrating July 1st with a brand new logo and a revamped website that features a blog!
You will see the CanSouth logo on our new business cards and other places as well. As for the website, it will be full of information about CanSouth and its activities–like it was in the past. In addition, we want to use the blog as a news channel, reminding you of upcoming CanSouth gatherings and other information relevant to Canadians living the Triangle. (This will be useful for those who do not use Facebook.) Follow us and receive an e-mail when a new post appears on the blog (sign up using the button in the sidebar) or be sure to check the CanSouth website often to stay abreast of news and events.
Join us tonight for our ‘Toast to Canada’ Canada Day celebration from 5-7pm at our very own ex-pat Canadian owned Carolina Ale House (Brier Creek location). Select Canadian beer will be on tap. Happy birthday, Canada! Cheers!
